As a result of the Civic Center CBD’s most recent meeting with SFMTA, and operator ImPark regarding parking, pedestrian safety and vehicle and patron patterns in Civic Center, we are reviving a popular $5 Event Rate program at Civic Center Garage. We are hoping to continue to grow the number of patrons comfortable parking at Civic Center. Since the last time this program was implemented in 2014, the following improvements have been made at the Civic Center Garage:
- the Civic Center Community Benefit District has added a guard in the elevator lobby on evenings, Tuesday through Saturday, to provide a safe presence for patrons;
- ImPark has installed new brighter stairwell lighting; the 3rd elevator is days from being up and running, and for the first time in MANY years there should be three working elevators;
- a new directional signage package has been ordered by ImPark and should soon be installed helping people orient themselves when inside the garage
SFMTA and ImPark have agreed to a fixed $5 EVENT Rate at Civic Center garage for the following evenings. Please note these dates were picked because they are evenings when there are multiple events in the San Francisco Performing Arts Center.
