A repaving project has been scheduled for Market Street to create a smoother and safer ride for cyclists and motorists. The remaining stretch of Market Street will be repaved later this year.

When: 7 p.m. Friday, June 7 to the evening of Saturday, June 8
Where: Market Street, Van Ness Avenue to Sixth Street
What: The curb lanes on both sides

Traffic impacts:

  • Bikes, trucks and automobiles will be prohibited from using Market Street
  • Muni service will not be affected. Buses and the F-line will be able to use the transit right-of-way in the center of Market Street
  • Cross traffic will not be affected. Intersection work will be completed at a later date
