Will the promise of lifting people up become a way of pushing people out or will the 5 Blocks revitalization effort become a national model for inner cities ?

5 Blocks is a documentary film about the revitalization of San Francisco’s central Market Street, from a gritty no-man’s land to a center for art and technology. Already, companies like Dolby and Twitter have moved into the area, lured by cheaper rents and vacant historic buildings. And, in turn, the rising rents are displacing individual artists who have called the neighborhood home for decades. Will the promise of lifting people up instead push them out?
